2. Capacitor reactive power compensation+SVG
The traditional reactive power compensation adopt slow switching device for capacitor switching, there is problem of differential compensation, poor compensation accuracy, slow response speed. SVG adopts high speed switching device to generate the compensation current, without the problem of compensation accuracy and slow response.
For low cost considerations, most or half compensation is compensated by capacitor groups, the remaining is completed by SVG, which ensure smooth compensation, also low cost, namely SVG+C method.

4. Traditional Passive filter+APF
The traditional harmonic compensation is the passive filter of the capacitance and resistance, which has the disadvantages of low compensation precision, slow response, poor reliability and limited harmonic compensation.
APF adopts high speed switching device to generate the compensation current, there is no compensation accuracy problem, and also has fast response.
For low cost considerations, use passive filter to compensate main low harmonics, the remaining harmonic is compensated by APF, to ensure smooth compensation, and also with low cost, that is APF+LC.
In the combined compensation, APF compensated harmonic should avoid LC compensated harmonic, otherwise the compensation has no effect.
5. Advantages of GP APF/SVG+traditional compensation
More reliable
Can be in parallel with any form of C/TSC/LC.
In practical application, users with traditional power quality management have a variety of forms, a pure capacitor C, series connection 0.4%~14% reactor TSC, passive filter LC, GP power quality products adopt the methods such as suppression of resonance peak, shielding specified harmonic output etc., and ensure reliable running when parallel connection with any passive devices. Especially in parallel with the pure capacitor C, the suppression of resonance technology reaches international advanced level.
More convenient
Can coordinate with any C/TSC/LC, regardless the main line at any location, CT at any location, can be reliable operation. Does not need to know the current of C/TSC/LC, and L can take from 0 to any value.
SVG is close to the load side, can compensate low harmonics and three-phase unbalance, but compensation for reactive power, due to the faster speed of SVG, will precede the action of capacitors, therefore when SVG for reactive power compensation occasions, recommend SVG near the grid side.
